Forced to move back home after her roommate gets engaged, aspiring pop star Samantha finds herself living in her childhood bedroom at 35. It’s not where she pictured herself after a once promising music career, and it’s certainly not where she intends to stay.
The series highlights the absurdities of life in the entertainment business, especially as a woman. And while it features one of the greatest albeit under-appreciated pop stars of our generation, it’s really a comeback tale.
It’s about writing your own story, and loving the people that have your back no matter what. It’s a show about getting older and having the courage to still chase your dreams, even when everyone’s telling you it’s time to hang it up.
